Agreement to these terms
These terms govern your use of satsumahq.com and the free templates, tools and content on it (the “site”). By using the site, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Paid work, such as an operations review, build or monthly run, is governed by a separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement wins.
Who we are
The site is operated by Satsuma, a digital operations studio for small businesses based in Northeast Ohio (“Satsuma”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@satsumahq.com.
Analytics, cookies and tracking
We collect analytics and use cookies and similar technology on the site. This includes recording pages visited, clicks, referring sources, device and browser details, approximate location from your IP address, and, with some tools, anonymized session replays. We also use advertising pixels and tags from providers such as Google, Meta and LinkedIn to measure our marketing and show ads to people who have visited.
By using the site, you acknowledge and agree to this collection as described in our privacy policy, which also explains how to block cookies, opt out of analytics and advertising, and exercise your privacy rights. Where the law requires your consent for a particular cookie, we will ask for it.
Using the site
You may use the site to learn about our services, contact us and use our free resources for your own business. You agree not to:
- Break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights, while using the site.
- Probe, scan or test the site’s security, or interfere with how it works.
- Scrape, copy or harvest content or data at scale, including with automated tools or AI crawlers, except as search engines normally do.
- Submit false information, or someone else’s information without permission.
- Send spam, malware or anything harmful through our forms.
Forms and communications
When you send a form, book a review or download a template, you agree that we may contact you about your request and our services by email, phone or other channels you provided. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information through our forms.
Free templates and tools
Our templates, including the AI policy template and incident response plan template, are general starting points. We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, adapt and use them inside your own business. You may not resell them, publish them as your own templates, or remove attribution from the unedited original.
The AI automation ROI calculator and the digital operations scorecard show estimates based only on the numbers and answers you enter. They are not a quote, a guarantee of savings, or professional advice.
Nothing on the site is legal, tax, accounting or professional security advice. Talk to a qualified adviser about your own situation, especially before adopting a policy or incident plan.
Our content
The site, including its text, design, the Satsuma name, logo and symbol, illustrations, film and code, belongs to Satsuma or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Apart from the template license above and normal browsing, you may not copy, change, distribute or create works from it without our written permission. Sample companies, figures and workflows on the site are fictional and labeled as samples.
Third-party services and links
The site uses and links to services run by others, such as our host, analytics and advertising providers, and the tools we mention. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimers
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error free or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Satsuma will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or its free resources. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Satsuma against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the site will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights your local law gives you that cannot be waived.
Changes and other terms
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor.
